My friend just bought 99 passet 1.8T, can anyone else hear their turbo whine at idle? the salesman said it was the turbo whining but we think it might be the serpentine belt. any input? and where exactly is the turbo?

Turbo sits on the side of the engine where the exhast begins, also there are two hoses that go there.
