also has anyone replaced the boots on their car? What do you recommend, both of my front boots are torn.

Stick with OEM boots. The axel has to be disassembled to get them on. As long as your CV joints haven't been contaminated with dirt yet, you can put new boots on and pack it with new grease.

If they've been torn for a while or are running pretty dry (all the grease has come out) then your better off with remanufactured axels.
