Life .....Is it pointless ?

Really guys think about this when u are born your really dying . Everyday that goes by every hr / min / sec that goes by your slowly dying . Since the day that you were born u were actually dying ..it's kinda sad but tru :( Your not exactly getting any younger your just getting closer and closer to your death .

Another thing about life ....is it really all that its cut out to be the reason i say this is b/c one day it's all just gonna come to an abrupt STOP and everything that you have worked for ..loved and cared for won't be there . Sometimes I think that life is kind of a waste b/c all you do is get old and die one day . Sometimes I wonder why do I go through all of these emotions of love/hate/pain/happiness and for all of it to just disappear one day . It's kinda like if i was to die today would that really change anything in this world ..... I'm thinkin to my self ..NO not really , yes people would miss me and cry over me but over time I would have been forgotten . If one person dies today is it really going to change the past/present/future ? I really don't think so

I just had this stuff on my mind for awhile and I just wanted to kinda let it out so if it doesn't make any sense to you just ignore it :)

the way i think is that yes when you are born the hour glass starts. in the period of time you are alive. try to be great to yourself and your famaly\freinds. whom cares if you discover cold fusion or something like that. as long as you have people that love and care for you they will always rermember you and the small things you done.

I agree, yeah you're dying but oh well, everything does. Just try to live it to the fullest. take chances, you only live once, or do you? anyway. dont be afraid that you're a useless dot on the world. I mean everywhere you go you're gonna effect atleast one person. Hey you never know maybe what you do in your adolesence will somehow effect your 30's a job at a used car dealership at 18 might lead to you inventing THE greaest car ever thought of at 30. you never know.

Not u god but GOD put us on this earth to see what would happen and what
would become of us. And it is not pretty. You just have to live your life
to the best of your ability. When you get a scraggly car.. well you have
to make the most of it. It is all about becoming a good person. Just

Life. In some views it may seem we were born to suffer. In others, we have a purpose.

What we make of our lives is just that, what we make of it. We start out babies learning love and care by our parents. We learn new things everyday. We go to school to learn about the world around us and what lies in the future. We try to the best of our abilities to understand things that evolve around us. Some things though, are better off not explained or understood. Yet many of us still have that desire to understand. There are those that lose focus of things around them just so that they can be ahead.

We set goals in order to give us direction, purpose, meaning. Once the goal is achieved, we feel we have accomplished something in our life. That would, in essence, be our purpose. To achieve things and then later reminisce about what we have accomplished. Feeling good that because of something that you did, some change has come about. It's that need to feel "Accomplished" that would serve as a guiding light to many.

You go through life wanting this and that, yet never appreciate what we have or gone through. Always feeling empty or left back because we didn't get this or that. While not always a bad thing, its the things we do have that make life all the more enjoyable. Some go through their whole lives with only the clothes on their backs, yet they are content with themselves because they got the chance to live. Others though, feel that only through material, power, etc., they will be complete. "You don't appreciate things, until they are gone."

This expression is often tossed around with no backing. Everyone recognizes it's meaning, yet no one truly grasps it's siginificance. The truth is, life is what you make of it. Once you are born, all your actions, emotions, decisions and what have you, all play a role in what life you will lead. It is the person, not anything else, that determines what will be in your future. While many say fate or destiny determines your future, I say you control fate and destiny every day that you wake up in the morning and say "What am I going to do today?" From the moment you get up, you start making decisions about what you are going to do that particular day. Make wise decisions as opposed to impulse decisions. Doing things that you want as opposed to what you need will only get you that immediate result. Yet the other decision might of had a more lasting effect that would have benefitted you.

I choose to live my life everyday as I see fit. I used to be an outgoing or "popular" person a few years back. Looking back now though, that was what I chose at that time. I have nothing to show for it now except for the lasting memories which serve no purpose now but to amuse me in the things I used to do. I don't regret what I've done, but can't help feel that I could have done something better. If I got a chance to do it over, I'd probably do it different.

So if you ever question your life or what evolves around you, look back at what you've accomplished. Then make a decision on whether you really need or "want" something else. Chances are you probably were going on an impulse decision.

Now back to the life issue.

I totally agree with the whole 'Don't take life for Granted Thing' I try be nice to thers and I take risks and I do some bad things. :( My philosiphy is "You only live Once" Meaning that if you want to do something, do it! you may never get the chance again! I don't always do that but I usually stick by that.

BTW, seeing as life is slowing being sucked from me, when I'm 40 or so I intend to move to a part of a Country with total tranquility and sanctuary I don't care about financial woes, I'll get a job picking rice or something, but I don't want to die, In a big city or because of some trajic accident, i'd rather live my life out away from the Evil of Cities and Such in a place that is free of Man and untouched by pretty much anyone. Hey! This is philosiphizing so I can blab about my future life as as a Marlon Brando of the Mountains, make one thing clear though, I don't want to be cut off from Technology because it has made great advances that make life easier, so It is just the masses of People and Cities I wish to get away from.

Keeping it short and sweet (no not a swipe at DVSNCYNIKL) I chose to recognize my own mortality, but not dwell on it. The day I am knocking on the pearly gates, I dont want St. Peter asking me why I kept counting my money before the game was done.

I try not to think about death...it will happen to us all one day.

I believe you should live your life to the fullest. Dont worry about tomorrow, worry about today. Take each day 0ne at a time

Life is to short...they say the older you get the quicker it slips you by.

I guess the only thing that does worry me is getting really old and being unable to do things for my self.
I've always been a very independent person.

Too bad were taught from the getgo to be automotons. Right now, im a senior in HS, and i have to must my butt to get good grades so i can get into college so that i can get a good job so taht im not poor so that when i die, there will be....money left over?

And if you make one little mistake when you're young, like having a 2.9 GPA instead of 3.0....heck, that could screw ya over. No these days, i feel that it's impossible to live "for the day". You can't succeed without thinking about tomorrow, next week, next year. But what is success? Having a good paying job? Well if that's true, then our society is governed by money it seems. Im being taught that not doing absolutley excellent in school, even if i try to, is being a failure. The rest of my life is going to be decided in less than nine months. Kinda seems unfair, huh? And then i get to deal with pretentious people, that act like they care, but really don't. That's including freinds, teachers, adults...

Life, it seems..is..i dont know. Pointless right now. If i die right now, will anyone care? I mean, yeah, my parents (hopefully) my ex-girlfriend, my freinds...but in the long run? They'll die, no one will really remember me.

I think i need to talk to a psychiatrist, does it seem like im OVERLY depressed?

Remember, it’s not just live for today. It’s live for today and look towards your tomorrows. The efforts you put into your life early on will come back as a benefit ten times over as you get older. You’ll need to find what makes you happy and find a way to make a life for yourself doing it. But, get all the education you can (since high school is paid for – absorb it all). The more you know, the better decisions you can make in your life.

You know, it's really a shame that you have to go to high school right at the point in your life when it seems most useless. I realize that when you're that young there are many other things that you'd rather be doing. It was true for me as well. However, as I've gotten older and have conversations with people who are not educated, I find them missing out on so many things. They just dont understand nuances of anything.

Understand, I when I say uneducated, I dont mean a formal education. I know many intelligent thought provoking people who never graduated from high school. However, they did educate themselves by reading and experiencing a wide variety of things.

I wish I could be home-schooled so that I could learn at my own faster rate. Oh well, looks like I'm stuck in the system. I intend to be educated for that exact reason Yogs, I don't want to constantly have to put sentneces together using (Like, Um and You know) I also want to be happy when I get a real job which requires education.

It's not that i dont want to go to school. Im just angry that it's so easy to do irreversable damage to your future in those 4 years, ya know?

True, You get really exposed in High School rather than at Home.

It may seem that way but it ain't. I'm here, so I'm gonna work hard to get what I deserve. I don't mind working hard for something. It makes you into a better person. Why care about anyone, sounds to me like a silly statement. U gotta have people that got ya back when times get rough and you gotta have theirs. Life ain't pointless, it is a an experience. People don't take things I accomplish, from me. Go out and get yours playa and enjoy what you can from life....while you are here.

i agree that there are things in life that are injoyable, but what does that mean in the end, basically ull looking at a better way of wasting time.....thats all

It's kinda like a video game. Even if the game sucks, if you beat it you feel you've accomplished something. It is about change, becoming a better person than when you started out or never thought you could be. Make a difference in someone's life other than yours.

Well, I was put on this earth for a reason. That reason I believe is to love everyone, have an impact on others. I think it is some sort of a test from "the man upstairs". Therefore I will try to score pass and/or score high in order to get the greater life. This life down here is full of pain and suffering. Your life can get taken from you in a split second. But when that time comes, I hope to go to heaven. I believe there is something after this life on earth so I guess a little pain and suffering is ok if I can live without that after this lifetime. I sugguest you start finding what you want to live for. F*ck all this stuff down here. I live for a greater cause.

life is 10% bliss and 90% ignorance. life is a crule trick, u tell me that life is what i make of it. I dont believe it, I think that i am in comtrol of every aspect of my life, but there are certain restrictions placed on all of us, things we can not change or exceed. I dont think we are put on this place for a reason, we are put here to find a reason. a greater cause, this hell of a life can not be the highest level of life, if it is, then god cleary made a mistake.

I doubt he made a mistake. You can make changes in your life is you want. With me being here, I know there is a greater power, which is GOD. I ain't pushing my opinion on anyone but the facts are there, which is you and everything around you. So basically I will live my life to the fullest and then wait for my time to come to go the best life imagineable.

the facts are there? i doubt it. if u r refering to the bible then these facts are all in the way u inturpret them. im not trying to knock god, dont get me wrong i used to believe in all of that. but i dont think that this is his masterplan for us. im not so sure about the heven and hell, but there is something after this......but my arguement is that this is pointless, not that the life after this is. but then agian to me this isnt really life....its death

I don't think life is pointless. I think it has a purpose. Somebody put man on earth for something. I wasn't there when it happened and I ain't never had a conversation with GOD or Jeus. I feel the things that I have now and will continue to obtain are all blessings. Don't go to church to much but I have strong religous beliefs. Basically, I think life has a purpose bigger than what me and you can see.

And thousands of people die everyday but do we stop to think of that ....the answer is no we really don't we just go on with our lives until our day comes . It's kinda like a clock counting down since the day we were born I know one day I wont be here on this earth and its really really sad but it's the truth and the people that i meet in my life won't always be there . Ahhhh. Cheer up GOD . Everythings a gonna be alright. Life is sad. So that otta let ya know that there is a life 100x better than this one we live now. Think about it. That is what I realize and that is why I ain't scared when my time comes whether it be tomorrow or in 60 years. Pain + Suffering down here on earth---------> Peace and happiness when we leave here. Its a simple mathmatical equation. Though it is not mathmatical. he he . Just some food for thought. :bloated:

dont worry about cheering up GOD there is no reason to be down, ur sorrow will not solve any problems or help u feel better about them. i think that u never really cheer up, u just get used to the pain......thats all u need to do, just know that there will always be pain wherever you go and u just have to deal with it..i know it seems hard, but its really not, just remember none of it matters in the end

You keep thinking like that, and you will always feel pain. It ain't like that all the time. There are up's and there are down's in life. Your mindset is on the negative side therefore you ain't giving yourself a chance to experience happiness. And how you live your life and the actions choices you make, indeed have an impact on what happens in the end. All I can say to you is to think positive and find out what you believe in.....that is if you believe in something.

if i believe in something? i believe that i am in control of my destiny, i believe that there is a higher life and i will make it there.......but i dont believe that there are ups and downs to life.....because once ur down eveything seems like up......ur just thinking that way because your down and u dont want to admit to yourself that you are going to get worse....the human race can survive just about anything......but that doesnt make it a "up" or a "down". are you really that religous or are you just hoping that there will be something there for you in the end?

Your killing me here. You believing in the fact that you control your own destiny won't get you to where you want in the end. A better way to word the question would be to you have faith? Up's are when you are doing good, you feel good, people know your doing good. Down's are when you are broke, you feel you ain't going nowhere. Ive had my share of downs. Right now, I'm going up. Where are you going? If you have a better outlook on life, you wouldn't be talkin all negative.

ok how exactly can u tell me with any certainty that chosing my own destiny wont get me where i want to go? ups and downs, they are just when one aspect of ur life is more defined then the other, and considering that a up or down is kinda being nieve. because the bad is still there your just ignoring it. as far as where im goin......exactly where i need to be, i find things i like and make them the center of what i do....therefor i will always go where i want. and where i need to be

You have an interesting point of view. I have no doubt you will get to where you want to be. Its the feeling when you get their that lets you know there is happiness in life. Keep your head up at all times. Even when times get so hard when you think you wanna quit, you keep your head up. With this in mind you can turn a obstacle into an oppurtinity to better yourself and your well being. Life has a point. You will find it. You just gotta know where to look.:smoker2:

ok so did u just agree with me or disagree?....i dont see obstacles as a bad thing, they are just a challange....the stogn will survive and the week will not...its always been that way and it will always be that way.

can you give me undeniable proof that you know 100% where you are going when your time is up? no you cant, even if u wanna talk about religion you have to know that you dont know what god has planned for you so u cant be sure where you are going. I know that im not ready to face my end, but thats ok, its just another challange for me to meet, that is my destiny.i live for love and adrenaline the two best feelings in life.....thats the simplest way to say it

Thats all good dawg. I can't give u undeniable proof. It's all about the faith that I have. I'll put it like this. I believe in Jesus as the son of GOD which is our savior. I believe in this strongly. I ain't pushing any of my beliefs upon you or anything but, at least if I'm wrong then wow, I'm going nowhere. But if I'm right then I will live in eternal happiness. It's a 50-50 chance. I'm playing my cards. I'll take the 50-50. Are you even playing? But I feel you are on the right track. Sooner or later you'll find out what you want to believe in, if you haven't already. Do what you got to do in life and enjoy it. It seems that is what you are doing. im playing alright, but i am playing at a different angle, i see life as a constant struggle for survival, more as a fight than everything. i guess i believe in the old fassion ways, the strong will survive and the week will perrish.....thats what makes the most sense to me.
