Bmw 528i - Compressor

I'm being told I need a new compressor Drier?? etc .. I can get a used one for $175 but the drier must come from BMW $185 plus $300 labor - sounds high to me - On on Long Island, NY ... Help Needed

well i'd just buy the drier and put it on myself its not too bad but those prices a prolly right bmw parts are a lil expensive and plus their labor too

Does not sound too bad at all.
To replace you A/C Drier you need to evacuate the R-134a, Then you are allowed to removed hardware. Install your part and then Charge your system. Unless you have equipment to do so I really recommend a specialist perform the charge. If you charge the wrong way there is a potential that you could damage your compressor.
