GSR V.S. Mustang

Hey guys, just wanted to inform ya that i raced a mustang gt from a rolling start. I had him all the way:D his bumper was at my door, well it was my first V8 kill and man does it fell good:bandit:

neato! im sure you'll be asked what year GT... and such 'welllll it might of's might pop up like "well...it might of been an older GT with miles on it.. soo its not the best" or "well..hey its an Automatic... with a chick driving... towing a boat... with people in the boat partying.. of course you won" ya know the typical complaints from us Domestic guys hahah. Good kill i suppose. Hurts me right here.. *points at big toe* when i hear a domestic being taken... *cries* oh well shit happens eh?

If you don't remember, i posted pics of my eclipse its was called (RIP Eclipse) Remember my brother fliped her. I also posted pics of my GSR, i kno i know i need to change the screen name but i don't have time now, lol. Oh and by the way it was a 4.6 mustang GT, it could of been auto maybe? Its still a V8, lol and i'm a 4:D i think it was a 96 or 97, well a kills a kill.

Ya, sure you did. They must of had the parking brake on, or had it in reverse. Or were really not racing. It probably had a 4cyl, so what if they havent put 4cyl in mustangs since 93. They must of swapped one in. It might of had 4 summo wrestlers in it. Mustangs are unbeatable. By the way, what mods you got?

Question though, is the 03 Cobra using the same engine as the 02? And is it supercharged, or supercharged + intercooler?

There was no 02 cobra. The 2003 cobra is basically useing the same engine design as the 01. But, it is useing a cast iron block instead of the old aluminum one, as well as other beefed up parts. All this is to handle the supercharger. Not sure if it is intercooled or not.

Really, why didn't they make a 2002 Cobra? Cast iron no wonder why its so heavy. Was looking at the specs a couple weeks ago and I think a hard top was around 3500-3600 lbs, convertible was 3700 lbs.

They were gearing up for an early 2003 launch of the "terminator" cobra. Its been out for about a month now. But, for as heavy as it is, it sure moves. Runs mid to high 12s on street tires.

Okay, first of all, the mustang isnt god. I admit, the average rice rocket isnt going to beat the average fixed up 5.0 at the stoplight confrontation, but there ARE instances where a little 4cyl will smoke a mustang (or camaro for that matter)

Secondly, if you read his entire post he stated that it was a mustang GT which the last time I checked comes with a V8. I seriously doubt anyone with a GT would swap in a 4cyl or 6cyl. So before you go shooting your mouth off about how dope mustangs are think a little bit about what you are saying and how stupid you are.

i'm pretty sure that the 03 cobra is comin with a intercooler and forged pistons and everything else. should be a pretty stout motor:D

I don't know why Domestic people never believe that an import beat a Domestic!! Is it because they have V8s and we have 4s with VTEC? Maybe the GT was auto maybe it wasn't and so what if he had three other people with him, not my problem. He's the one that wanted to race me, and I beat him! I have a CAI and a Cat Back, call BS if you want I was there and i know what happend.

The only time I dont believe that an import beat a domestic is when the import is 3 times slower then the domestic. Im glad you have a cai and catback, thats nice.

I beat an Integra type R, not by much, and I beat a 96GT mustang, by a lil more...It is possable, And from how you say it, if you got the jump on him and he isnt the best driver (with a manual) then I can see it happening.

The Mustang was auto and it had three people in it, my setup is CAI,Catback,Headers. Hey he raced and he lost.:finger:

Auto mustangs are slow, throw in a car load of people, and you are going to have a hard time beating anything.

Its still a Mustang GT which means its still a V8, Thats still a kill in my book. It was me and my friend in the GSR, so that means 2 in the GSR and 3 in the mustang. Not that much of a big difference.:)

Yo Melt, for real im sure that guy wasnt wantin to race, not to start a battle or dis on your car bro, but ive owned a 2001 Mercedes CLK-430 with Lorensor package for about 7 months. I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe you beat any Mercedes with ANY AMG add ons unless it was a automatic C230 hatchback with a blown out supercharger and with 5 passengers and a trunk load of luggage. My 4.3 litre V8 could rip your 1 and 1/2 litre civic apart hands down, with my car loaded with asses in all 4 seats, and trunk loaded.. And they only make the CLK in an automatic. I have no engine mods. Just a Silver CLK, dumped on Lorensor chrome 19's, and a full Lorensor package. The engine in your car, even with that warm air intake you have on it, doesnt even have enough power and torque to pull the weight of my rims around, so Im pretty sure that guy didnt want to waste his gas on you, he was probably pussy futtin' it bro, no joke.
