525tds injection warning light

I have a '94 525tds.
There is a warning light next to the glow-plug light, which shows a picture of an injector spraying.
The owners manual mentions that this light should come on for a few seconds as the ignition is switched on, but it does not.
My local dealer said that the light was not connected in some models.

Does anyone else have a 525tds, or can have a look at one and let me know if this warning lamp works.

I have a suspicion that mine may have been disconnected in order to mask a minor fault that the system has detected. I just haven't looked yet.

I have the same model and the injector light comes on for about 5 seconds after turning the ignition.:rolleyes:

I have a 1993 525tds and, yes, the injector light comes on and goes when I switch on.

I want to find out from SimonP if he got the CD-Rom mentioned. I visited the website and I was told "This item has closed". How can I get one of these CD-Roms? H E L P !!!!

I fitted a new lamp in the instrument cluster. The lamp lights for about half a second when the ignition is switched on.

Yes, I did get the CD-Rom. You will probably find them on sale on ebay from a few sources.
Plenty of Russian websites offer them for sale too!
