Hey Guys

I know its been a while since I have been on but I just haven't looked at cars the same way now

After 3 pissin weeks my Teg was stolen, right out of the subway parking lot, no sign of forced entry. Cops are useless and I knew they would never find it. I really haven't been the same since. I was really falling in love with that car, it was MINE not a lease but my actual first car, and its gone. Its been 2 weeks since it was stolen and I just can't seem to keep positive about anything, this is really affecting me

anyways, I am back I (I think)...Insurance should cut me a cheque this week, and I am now looking between a GTI and an RSX Premium (old reliable!)...Own for about 2-3 years then move on to either an EVO or Sti type vehicle, or a big RWD V8 for the first time in my life

Either way....FUCK I am so angry and so sad and I still can't believe this happened to me

Wow, that really sucks:frown:. I hope you have better luck with your next car and i hope the person that stole it dies a slow and painful death.

A Roman Philosopher said ''Loss is nothing else but change, and change is Nature's delight,'' Dont look at it like something was stolen from you, look at it as an opportunity to change and move on. Dwelling on it will only make you said.

I am sorry for your loss. But on the bright side you get to look for a new car. Out of the two i would get a gti with the 1.8t. They respond well to mods
and are nice cars.

Sorry to hear that. It will be hard to find another clean one like yours was. If you have the means, go for the RSX though.

:repost:

Man, that really sux, even in Canada Honda's are the choice for theives, fucking sucks. One of the reason's I can never own a Ek hatch or GSR or Type R teg, they just get stolen soo often, especially in Texas.

RSturbo said it pretty well, don't dwell on it and just look at it like an opportunity to move onto something even better. I'd get a RSX, especially since its going to be discontinued in 07, you can get one of the last one's ever made in the integra lineup.

too many rsx', i say go for the psssssshshhhhhhhh *insert bov here*......hehehe.....sorry for the teg ming, i believe in the USA, in 2003?+ integras are the most stolen cars, someone double check that for me, did you have an alarm equiped? gotta get that sh(t done if you have a nice car man, welcome back and hopefully nothing else goes wrong, i know how you feel man, you're not alone, well, good luck, keep us updated

Dude, that sucks so bad. I know people will say that it's a chance for something else, but goddamn it, you just got that car. It was so pretty too. Ugh... That's why I don't think I can get a teg. Too many damn ghetto ricers stealing shit. I hope the thief gets pwned by a bigger fish in the sea. Sorry man...

Yeah, sorry to hear about that man. Integras are one of the most popular cars to steal. Also, this confirms to me that Subway is cursed. My first GTC was totaled in front of a Subway and about a month later I was rear-ended in my Eagle in front of a Subway.

As for the car, I would go with something with the 1.8T over and RSX.

ouch sorry to hear that. I'd also go for the GTI.

Oh Mason bro Im sorry to hear that....at least you had full cover right? I mean your gonna get your money back right?

I cant imagine how shitty that feels.
Maybee posting pictures of your cute sis will make you feel better? ...............no? okay never mind!

as for your next car I suggest a GTI too. Gotian has got his up to around 215 WHP with just a CAI and a 10 dollar diode mode!

just to let you huys know, the three most stolen cars are:
1) Civic coupes, doesnt matter what trim cause the thieves arent nit-picky
2) tegs
3) RSX
I know this cause I work with Insurance and I also did a comparison with my car and a civic is more expensive to insure than my car. So much for saving money on gas right? Since you pay out of your ass with insurance especially if your under 18 and havent had your license since you were 15.

06-19-2006, 05:19 PM
oh and one more thing to be honest, and no i don't really prefer this, but a 1.8t jetta would be a bit better than the gti, Cheaper insurance and the 4 doors comes in handy. And if your thinking it's a bit heavier, it's only by 50 pounds. But again your choice and that was just my opinion.

The person who took the car probably wont get to enjoy it too much though cause I'm sure that car will commit suicide with the guy in it just to make you happy

I feel your pain, and was in the same shoes when I had my former 2000 Acura Integra GS-R. Some bitch totalled it, and I only had it for a little over a month. Car was parked on the street, but it didn't stop her drunk ass from ramming it. The only good thing about it all was that it totalled my crooked supervisors car too (Witnesses said they saw the Integra fly over 2 feet off the ground, and fly through his Taurus's rearend).

I wanted to slap the bitch, but she was bleeding from the hit from the airbag. I gave her some paper towels to bleed on, and the ambulance drove her off. Her Toyota Avalon barely had any damage.

Most likely your car won't show up in time. Make sure the insurance company gives you what it's worth, and be willing to fight with them, as this will no doubt increase your insurance. Sadly Tegras are stolen more then any other car.

If I were you i'd just buy a beater car, and purchase an Evo in a little while. I've seen Evo's around here sell for $20K used.

Yeah, and get owned on the street in any stoplight race with an Evo. AWD ownz on the street. You just have to be willing to redline your car and dump the clutch from a dig.

Trust me Musashi, when you go to the track, you'll become quite readily aware of how good AWD cars can be.

the most horrible thing that comes to my mind when i read this is " why am i not surprised? "

everyone i know with civic Si's and GSR's has their car stolen. and from that fact alone i never recommend that car to anyone i know. casue it sucks to buy a car and drive it for only a little bit before someone knows your routine then steals it in a matter of minutes. then your stuck with no car.

i've had friends who got their gsr's stolen in movie theater parking lots, street parked in mid town manhattan, in front of friends house, flushing queens, everywhere they get stolen.

when my friend was watching over a type R for a another friend of his, that car never spent a single night outside of a indoor garage. the car that is normally in his garage is a 6 speed G35 coupe, and he leaves that outside in the driveway while the type R hides inside. he never left the car to park it anywhere either when he drives it.

that's really fucked up man. i don't mean to be down about it but i'd be heartbroken... well now that my J has nice wheels on it... before... i woulda shrugged and bought a z or a truck.

but seriously, i'm sorry and hopefully next time that thief will cut his wrist while breaking into the next victom's car and bleed to death

I just heard a report of the top 10 most stolen cars for either '05 or '06, maybe 2 weeks ago, and Taurus topped the list. Escalades were up there as well, but yes, Hondas and Integras have always been popular with the theives.

Anyway, that isn't the point, the point is I'm really sorry to hear that your's got swipped. I've been robbed a few times, and it really screws with your sense of security...it only gets worse when they break into your house. But I can tell you from experience, that the feelings of depression/insecurity/lack of trust, do fade with time, and you get back to normal again. It sucks, and unfortunantly, it is something that almost everybody will have to deal with at one time. Sorry to hear it was you this time. Best of luck with the insurance/police paperwork crap, and I hope you get something that you really like with the money.

i don't even drive my car to work now because people f' with it. it's scary after you get your stuff messed with or stolen how much less you trust people. when i go out to eat i sit by my car in the window... when i see a movie... i either walk or i make sure the alarm is on and i park it close to the front. I'm wierd like that.

my friend's white teg w/ the jdm front end conversion (2000) was stolen not too long back too. someone is also trying to sell parts that likely came from the car on a local forum too.

integras get stolen all the time. i'm def. getting car alarms for all of my cars when i get hte money. screw going fast if you aren't sure it'll be there in the morning!

eh..i was wearing a polo shirt so it's not like you could see anything anyways. i would never show skin to get stuff either, that's just trashy. but i'm poor and if some guy thinks i'm cute and hands me a free soda, i'm not really going to complain.

When I saw quteasabutten's avatar, for some reason (I think he has a similar avatar before) I thought that was Civ posting...

So when you replied talking about boobs, and when she starting talking about them I thought to myself

"Wow looks like Civ finally got that operation done...I guess its for the best, hes happier that way" Then I realized it wasnt Civ after and Ive been laughing about it iever since

Anyways, The GTI I was looking at before had some serious problems the guy was trying to hide from me...Including electrical and rust problems...This has really really scared me away from GTI's...

But I am still very afraid of having another car stolen, but I had my Type S for long enough with no theft problems which does give me a little confidence
--- and as absolutely amazing as it would look rollin in to school in a GTO, I think thats pretty far our of my price range

I didn't think you were a guy...technically I thought Civ was a chick...I didn't know you existed

anyways, I've found a dealership RSX with 88k, their trying to sell it for 19,500 (not even close to a good deal) Im gonna try to haggle them down to 15,500 (its been up for months) ...If I do I will have my car by early next week, if not I will keep searching

Polygon
06-22-2006, 11:13 AM
Yeah, $20k for an RSX with 88k on the clock, that's kind of steep. I'm sure you can talk them down since it's been there a while. Just let them know that you don't need their car and are perfectly content waiting for a better deal or different car.

They'll deal.

Jet-Lee
06-22-2006, 11:19 AM
Make sure to tell them you want to buy, but "not here not now" because you intend on reviewing other dealers prices/offers before making a final decision. If they're smart and a good business, they'll drop the price considerably. If they don't drop it....buy somewhere else.

EDIT-If the offer seems too good to be true, don't buy it, just get the offer on paper and come back at a later date. This gives them the impression you tested other cars as well and you still came back. They think of you as a REAL valued customer now and will probably try to give you the best deal they can.
