handbrake broken? easy to fix?

basically i was trying to fit a handbrake cover, but being careful as possible not to knock the spring out which effectively clicks the brake into place each time you push in the button, but unfortunately the spring fell out, now the handbrake dosent click how it should and is just getting stuck, some one throw me some advice? :banghead: :screwy:
