Hey guys I know I haven't been on for awhile. I'm trying to install an air filter, but I can't take off the mas bolt and it drving me crazy! I spent a lot of hour trying to take it off with the pliers, but that doesn't work. Is there another way?

Those were the biggest PITA. Hopefully you havn't broken the plastic backing (so they are spinning freely). The only 2 ways I had any sucess were
using pliers to hold hte back still and break them loose with a wrench, or saw through the airbox completely destroying it...which is what I ended up doing.

I just put on a cone filter myself and those bolts werent too bad for me (just used a socket and pliers... your talking about the ones conecting the box to the mafs right?) then i replaced the fuel filter and those bolts holdin the lines on the filter were no fun at all.. i even had to bend the old filter a little to even get the wrench on the neck!... :banghead: so much cursing! haha!

haha I end up cracking the cover, but i still can't get the bolt off so I decided to tape it lol, I will get back to it when I have the time and power. My next upgrade is the test pipe, I hope that is easy lol! I bought a lot of stuff, but I rarely have the time to install them, yea am lazy.

I think I'm going to get one of those mafs support brackets that i saw on 3SX ($20) So my filter wont be dangling in the engine bay :)

My FIPK came with them. Plus they aren't that hard to make yourself. Hell if you were bored enough, I'm sure you could construct some kind of support bracket from used beer cans or something.
