no when i bought my deck.. it came with a harness that plugs into the deck itself, and coming off of that harness are a bucnh of wires and each labeled specifically for what they do, eg left rear speaker were purple wires, right rear were green... and from their i just ran the wires accordingly, the power wire to the ACC on the fuse box, the speakers to the rear 5x7's... then RCA cables to my amp.. and the grounds... i had no need for any adapter

Well, I had to sell of my birds but here's some pics
This was my first TA that I restored. It's only an '80 but was\
a real clean car.
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b86/ponchonutty/transam.jpg
This was my baby. It's obviously a '76 but it was all original, even the paint
It was a special ordered car without the bird and some other wierd/rare things.\
Sold it a few years ago with only 20k on the clock!!!

yeah l wanted to ask this a long time ago.. why your car has white gauges and why other trans ams and even ws6s have regular black gauges??
if l get an LS1, l want white gauges badly.. they look a lot better..

They're just gauge overlays Erdal. I've got them too
http://www.blindeyed.com/car/gauges.jpg
I would have liked to have gotten the same kind as Mr. Luos has, but unfortunately I havent found very many company's that offer gauge overlays for the 115 mph speedo that I've got. I just don't really like the blue color they put out, It's not that bad if you turn the brightness down. But i would still prefer to have them the stock red color.

How hard would it be to put those on my firebird? I wouldnt have to take out the whole panel like shown in the pic would i?
EDIT: Do any of you guys have your car's manual? Like the booklet? Is it worth paying $15 to get the booklet with casing for my car on ebay?

See, that's what I want, but they only offer the 120 mph and 150 mph gauges. They're not hard to install at all, only takes maybe 30 mins tops if you know what you're doing. Mine took me maybe an hour and a half because I had to custom fit the 97-02 style gauge cluster to that on my 95's. I wanted that little trim piece, what can I say.

No, mine only reads up to 110, but has another dash for 115. Those 120 ones read up to 120, and have a dash for 125. If I got those my gauges would be 10 mph off. I suppose I could get those, and just calculate what the difference would be. It wouldn't be too much off. Or maybe I'll try sending that seller on eBay a message and ask if he would be able to make a 115 one.

Note that I haven't taken pics of the interior since I got the Lou Thesz Short Stick (I recommend this stick to anyone, it's unbelieveable).
Mods on car are in my sig. It dynoed at 351whp with the P.O.S. Flowmaster (BTW there's a thread on LS1tech referencing people losing 20whp with that exhaust, though I doubt I was losing that much). It probably is in or around that area since I put the 4.10's in, as the magnaflow flows alot better. Anyways, these are my plans in the future (Probably going in next year):
Engine:
- Patriot LS6 machined heads
- Pacesetter Long Tube Headers
- Z06 MAF
- Hardened Pushrods
- BG Ram Air Kit (Seen a place that still sells it)
- High Flow Catalytic Converter
- Another Dyno Tune
Interior/Exterior
- Side gauge cluster
- Torq Thrust Rims (Ala Luos, though I think everyone has gotten them for the WS6)
- Metal pedals
- White Face Racing Gauges
Suspension
- Bilstein HD Shocks/Struts
- Eibach Springs (1" lower)
- Subframe Connectors
- Torque Arm

I've been saving up since I bought the car back in march and I've got somethin like 800 bucks put away that will eventually be going towards my car..i had originally planned to modify some things but now I've found that the trans might have to be rebuilt sometime soon, so I'm between decisions right now..anyway here are some pics (click to see them bigger)

lucky enough i live in wyo so it stays pretty dry and havent seen any rust spots other than up on the roof there is a fist sized spot that is bubbling. Anyhow she ran when i got her but the trany was shot got it fixed and drove her around for about a year. she is a fun car but i guess im kinda bummin since when i started changing out the rear gears i get the feeling that im screwing up so i think im gonna pull the axel and take it to a place so it gets done right. i just miss taking her out and getting on it. thanks for your comments on her. You guys all have some sweet rides i like looking at them. has any one heard any more on the possible rebirth of the firebird in like 2010? seen some concept pics in HOT ROD mag, pretty sweet looking if yoiu as me.

In casper bout the dead center of the state. Maybe i'll have to make it down to CO someday and check out your legendary bird there Lous. theres quite a few Late 70's firebird running around but few nice looking ones. That sucks about the "new" Firebird (i figured as much) form the concept pics that ive seen it looks even sweeter than the concept camaro.

i give up on the muscle comming back untill they make an affordable one that was the point of muscle cars in the 60 - 70's they were cheap fast and fun....now there making them really exspensive although they are a lot more reliable but thats the think you cant bring back something from the day there day is over i think they should let it rest and move on but to each its own
ps - i love that concept it looks really clean

I have a little more to do before I get my new pics up. Got a bunch of hot cars on here though. Also, sorry the members ride thread got out of date again. Any of the mods we currently have now are more than welcome to update any of the stickys they want though and members are more than welcome to make suggestions on stuff they want replaced or removed to Mr.Luos, Blindxeyed or myself.
