I'm looking at 3 cars for a new car. One is the LS1 firebird with a 6 speed. What are the best years to look for, and for under 10,000, what kind of mileage will it have? Thanks as always

High mileage under $10K

Any year will be fine.

So there weren't more LS1s one year than the other? rarity is the same?

None of them are rare.

Unless you are looking at WS.6/SS/Firehawk type cars.
And even those are all that rare.

I wish I could get a WS6 but I have much better chance at a formula or TA because of money. I originally said 7k for a car but it doesn't look that cheap. LT1 to LS1 is just insane price wise.

Mileage plays a role in that.
Probably not gonna find many LT1 cars with 40K miles for sale.
LS1 cars there are more.
Plus the car itself is newer.

check ls1tech.com (vehicles for sale or wanted folder) or ls1.com people try to sell their cars over there, you can find one with that price over there.. l personally have seen many for 10k or under over there. you can find with 70-80+90k miles the lowest, unless you are ok with salvage title cars.. they are low mileage and cheap. (l dont reccommend).
