ok so i was wondering if a head gasket which is well blown and is leaking stuff into the cylinders will cause nto start or extreme putting back fire. i think this is the problem wiht my car and i dont quite wanan tear into it and find that its not the problem.

Its possible if it is dumping alot of fluid, and I mean alot to cause some problems with the combustion in the cylinders. as far as backfiring and sputtering I couldnt say.

yes. Could also be about 1,231 other things. replace the blown head gasket dude...it's about a $100 dollar job w/ fluids.

well i did the job myself but hoenstly everyoe nget ready to laugh cause it wasnt the head gasket it was sjut the rotor in the dizzy. yes now oyu cna laugh. i tore into it without evne inspectign everything. but hey on the bright side now ive got a new head gasket and spark plugs and fresh fluid.
