Hey Guys. I just picked up a very nice 1980 Toyota pickup with only 80,000 true miles on it from an uncle of mine.
I'm looking to for upgrades and stock parts. Are there any good places on the net?
The thing I really need are wiper arms. The two I have are stripped so I'm driving with no wiper arms. Also I'm looking for new headlights. My regular beams do not work and my high beams are weaker then regular beams should be.
I'd also like to add some horsepower to the truck if possible and upgrade the interrior or replace it if I can. I'd also like to find a toolbox for the truck.
Thanks!

Headlights- available at any auto parts store, Wal-mart, Target, etc. You need to determine if it is just the bulbs or if the wiring is corroded, switches failing, etc.
Wiper arms- May want to try a wrecking yard for good, used replacements. May need replacement wheel boxes (the part that the arm attaches to). Blades and refills are available at most autoparts stores.
Tool box- I got mine new from a local autoparts store. Didn't want to pay high costs for shipping, therefore wouldn't order online. Look in your local classified sections and see if someone has one for sale. Some autoparts stores have bulletin boards, check to see what someone may have available that you might be interested in.
Buying parts online I have considered a mixed bag. I prefer local suppliers because if something goes wrong, it can easily be fixed. I have purchased parts online. ebay.com can be a good source for some parts. If you know exactly what parts you want, then google to find the best supplier.

Well I was able to get some new headlights today. Made a world of difference! Took the truck in the hills and man this thing climbs! Was shocked at how well this little truck does.
Managed to get an hose leak and leak out some antirfreeze but got her fixed. Seems to be someone put an very nice carb and air filter on it but never took off the parts the motor no longer needed. So I'm going to take a look at it this week and determine what needs to go, be replaced or stay.
Now I'm looking for performance parts and interrior upgrades if their out their.
Still on the search for the wiper arms. Looks like the phone book will get some use tomorrow.
