Best battery for the money?

Hey guys. Just wondering everybody's opinion on battery brands. It's about time I replace the one in there right now (shitty EverStart :shakehead ) and I want to know what experiences people have had with certain brands.
I know that Optima is top-notch, but expensive as hell. Not sure if I really want to splurge and spend that type of money on something I won't even use to it's potential. I am not running any type of amp or subs, just an aftermarket head unit for stereo. No plans for anything extreme either. I am more looking for something that will last awhile and perform well under normal conditions.
Any suggestions?

I've only had two batteries in my car. A Napa 65 (crap) that came with the car, and my Optima Yellow top. Yeah the napa sucked. The Optima is great IMO and I will probably never buy another brand of battery other than Optima. Its never let me down even though I put it through hell. If I was you I would just buy a Red top since you arent running alot of accessories and what not. :2cents:

I usually just buy what is cheap. Even on my old car with a system and everything I never ran into problems with any battery I have ever had.
Most of the time the higher priced ones you are basicly paying for the warranty

Optima Red top works perfect for me and if it is inside the car (mounted in the trunk) you dont need a battery box because of the fact it is a dry cell.

It's probably best to go for the Optima and spend the extra $30, I've got a red top and it's never failed me. I have a high powered amp and subs, and I got the optima in the trunk. It's paralleled to the front battery (stock nothing special) which actually has a dead cell, and the optima is still able to keep the car goin at over 14 volts. Niccce battery and I'll never buy another brand.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Is anybody gonna campaign for any other brand besides Optima?
Also, where is the best place/cheapest to buy an Optima? Online would not be an option obviously....shipping would be such a waste.

I dunno I've always used no-name crap and it works fine. I have a decently powered system too.
