will DSMlink run on a labtop running Windows XP home or professional w/ a pentium-4 processor and DB9 serial interface?:screwy: any peculiarities:eek: with this setup?

no problems. Most people get a USB to serial converter to make everything easier though.

so... windows xp will work fine? all it says on DSMlink.com is atleast 98... i'm not sure becuase i have some software for 98 that doesnt work for shit with xp... you know anyone that has done it before?

DSMlink is a Java application, so it will run on damn near anything with Java capability. My laptop is very old and very weak, and it still works fine.
At one point bill gates was making millions per hour, assuming a 40 hour work week. Completely ridiculous.

my gf got a 100% plus some scholarship from him. All 4 years paid, plenty of living money too, Bill Gates pays for our dinners all the time ;) I love the guy.

well when she was in high school she applied for the gates millenium scholarship or something like that. Basically it pays for EVERYTHING for the next 4 years of your life, or more if you go to grad school. It pays for tuition, then it pays for room, then it pays for food, gas, anything you ask for you'll get. You have to remember if Gates doesn't give this money away the gov't will just take it in taxes. It's MUCH better than the scholarships valedictorians get. So she has lots of extra money around, which means we eat at nice places and stuff, and he pays the tab.
