Hi,
I am a 33 year old female, married, with no children yet. I am in the market for a new car. I have a 1992 corolla that is falling apart...it is time to get a new car. I have narrowed it down to 2 cars.....2006 RAV4 and 2007 Camry. I can't decide if a small suv or sedan would be better. Both cars seem to have good ratings as far as performance and reliability. I guess it comes down to looks......I hate to be superficial but that is what it comes down to. What is your opinion on which car looks better? What is popular nowadays?
Thank you

Hiya, I work as a salesman at ..., so I get this question all the time =) SUV or car depends on what your needs are. The models you mentioned happen to have almost the exact same price range (though the RAV starts higher), and gas mileage. The RAV4 is going to be a little easier to get, but if you don't need an SUV for the hauling space, go with the Camry. It has slightly better gas mileage, it's more comfortable and refined on the inside, drives very smooth, and you can get just about anything you want on a 4 cylinder LE for the same cost as a stripped-down RAV. The Camry also has more standard safety feaures, including a driver's-side knee airbag.
Honestly though, head to your friendly neighborhood Toyota dealer and take both for a test drive. Don't spend $23k without driving the thing! (If you're in the Metro DC area you can call me, I'm Brian, at...
Oh, and BTW, both cars look multitudes beter than they did in last year's styles, but I'd go with the Camry myself - the SE is dead sexy! :iceslolan

As someone who owned just under 100 cars in the last 23 years and a long-time dealer-tester, my recommendation would be: Buy a Rav4, why? because for smaller-framed ladies Rav4 has little higher position, it has opener and larger interior space plus back luggage area where you can fill with ton of stuff and also 4-wheel drive that won't get you stuck if you and friends or kids happened to go offroad on sandy/rough/muddy roads. Camry is nice too but it's just not RAV4.I'd say: Buy a PEARL METALIC RAV4
