Cleaning The TB

I was wondering i have a 1992 Max and I have noticed latly it seems slower for some reason i got some upgrades on it and it used to really haul ass and really take off from start now it seems alot slower by cleaning the Vb will i notice a difference i have not cleaned it for almost 3 years.....

Is it the VB or Tb that gets dirty? or whatever

It's the TB or Throttle Body, and cleaning it couldn't hurt anything... :D

Where can i find how to do that is there a site i can print out...?

the throttle body should be fine. you shouldn't need to clean it. what kind of mods did you put on? some mods increase hp, but lower tq, which you'll notice off the line. also which engine do you have in you're 92? the 160hp double overhead cam or the 190hp dual overhead cam?

The throttle body should not 'be fine'! The TB plate gets dirty over time, the air filter does not filter out everything, and a lot of the junk that get's through sticks to the throttle body plate.

Quick instructions: Remove the intake tubing up to the throttle body. Get some Carb cleaner and spray it in the throttle body, let it set for a minute, then use a clean rag to wipe off the Tb plate and the inside of the tb. Now move the throttle plate around and spray some more. Keep cleaning it untill you can't get any more junk off. Let it dry for a couple minutes, put the intake tubing back on, start up your car, enjoy!

I'll do that 2morrow is there anyhting eles i schould think about cleanin in my engine since i will already be doin that?
