Best engine oil?

What is the best engine oil for a 6 bolt stroker?
Ive heard that Royal Purple is really good?
Any comments anyone?

Mobil 1 is just fine. Royal Purple is also very good, but unless you have a place near you that sells it, it can be hard to get ahold of. None of the big chain stores that I can find sell it, but I wouldn't bother running it in my car anyway so I never looked REAL hard.

Yeah all those oils are good. I use Castrol Syntec myself. But most if it is just preference.

I've been running mobil 1 for 2 years now. Our Pep Boys carries Royal Purple, if I remember it was about $8 a quart.

A few places here in town carry it as well

I've heard good things about Amsoil too...

:1: for Mobil 1, theres a 5 quart jug in my garage waiting to go into the talon as we speak.
