I went to autozone yesterday and they diagnosed my service engine light with a code P0304, Cylinder 4 misfired detected. He said I should start with a full tune up. Pep boy says it would cost $544.00, is that reasonable? ...It would include new plugs and wires, distributor cap, pcv valve and something else I cant remember.

shrugs... without a full list on what's going to be in that particular tune-up... I have no idea if you're getting a good deal or not.
i guess you don't have any connections to do this job for cheaper?
i'd check mainly the ignition wire going to that cylinder as the easiest/simplest thing to do 1st...
then pull the spark plug & check for excessive gap on it... 2nd
3rd, if mileage warrants it, i'd change out All of the plugs... consult preventative maintenance schedule.

Good grief I never heard of a tuneup being that high.
Should not be over half that much at the most.
Have the give you a written estiamate on parts and brand of parts and labor and post it back.
I would like to see what a 544$ tune up is.
Also.
Price you parts at parts place and then add 2 hrs labor 3 at the most.
