Is it a bad idea to buy an 1995 eclipse with a blown head gasket? i don't know much about cars but how much does it cost to fix the gasket? Also, how can u tell if a car has been abused on?

it depends if it's a GS, RS, GST or GSX and how much they want for it.
Any car is a good buy if it's cheap enough.

Really depends on the damage. If it's only the head gasket, and the price is good enough to allow for you or a mechnic to fix it and it still be a good deal then maybe.
However, you might wanna find out if hte car overheated, are the actual heads damaged or warped, did coolant contaminate the oil (probably), which can lead to other issues, like improper lubrication and spun bearings.
Really helps to know what all is busted before buying.
