Hey everyone, I have a 02 Sonoma, 4WD. Im looking at getting some new wheels and tires but Im kinda getting confused as to what will fit or not. Im thinking about 15x7 wheel with 4" of backspace(originals wheels had 6" BS). I'd like to try a 30x9.5 tire if possible. Is this possible without rubbing? Maybe you can recommend a tire/wheel size that doesn't if that won't work. Right now its stock height but in a few weeks I may get a 2" body lift, if I need it or not. I need to get new tires since the ones I have are shot. So I dont tell me to wait for a lift kit. Thanks in advance.
I thought it would be OK to ask in the S10 forum since it has more traffic and they are basically the same.

The Blazer forum has way more trafic, and is again basicly the same vehicle. Just a extended cab without a box.
Changing the offset will stress the front end, and they aren't overly strong to start with.
That tire size will fit, and is the largest that you can fit under your truck without lifting it.
I am of course assuming that everything is the same as the S10
Why not wait until you do the body lift, make it a 3" and you can fit 31 x 10.5" tires without any rubbing.

I cant wait to get new tires, mine are pretty bad right now. I havent seen a 3" lift for these trucks, only 2" body lift and 6" suspension kit.

You can get a 2" suspension lift here
http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/GM_S10_4wd.htm
and a 3" body lift here
http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bin/suscon/192.html
That place is expensive for body lifts, so shop around.
The suspension lift is the best price that I've ever found
