ok, i have one more car price question for you. My dad is getting ready to buy a 1999 Camaro coupe v6 3.8 auto with 69,000 miles. It is light blue and has a rs body kit on it. it has good tires and is in good shape. It also has tinted windows. There is only like 2 scratches on it, there is one on the top of the spoiler that will buff out and there is one on the front of the body kit that the guy is going to fix. The in side is spotless also. it has power seat, cd player, and all of that good stuff. Here is the only things wrong with it. The driver side window motor is out (The guy is going to fix that) and the scratch on the front (the guy is going to fix that also.) The guy WAS asking 7,900 he came down to 6,900. What do you think good deal?

I paid 6k for my '98 in 02 with 51,544 miles, ground effects, and in really good condition.

I didn't say that, just telling you what I paid for mine. If the cars in really good shape then that's not a bad price. My cousin paid $6,500 for his '99 with 9X,XXX miles, t-tops, and power everything.

ya i am looking at others on the internet and i see alot of 99 v6's at the same price with more miles than this. I think it is a good deal. I think my dad is going to get it. the car is in GREAT shape besides the scratch on the front which he is fixing. And i just found out that the car only had 1 owner and has NEVER been wrecked. So my dad is called the bank and i think he is getting it tomarow. I will try to get some pics posted of it.

Only problem with my Camaro is the stains on the front seats from all the lovin' in it and the noisy gears, which I have new ones laying in my bedroom floor for.

well the guy said if my dad payed 7,900 he would fix the window motor and every thing. But he will not fix any thing for 6,900 so my dad said screw it. So he is still looking for another one.

I live in next to St.Louis Mo. So screw that. But i found a 93 z28 Gray with exhaust and some other little mods with 123,000 and it is a auto and the guy is asking $4,000 i think it is to much. My dad said he might offer him $3,500.

ok,lol here is where we stand now he is looming between two diffrent cars. One is a REALLY! nice 96 camaro v6 3.8 auto t-top power every thing with dual exhaust and it is all black tinted windows and a chrome grill in front with 107,000 miles but he is asking $5,500OBO i told my dad since the car has every thing on it already that he would want on it offer him $5,000 i think that is still to much. but here is the second car it is a 95 camaro 3.4v6 auto dark green with 98,500miles. The tranny has been flushed every 30,000 and the oil been changed every 3,000 and the anti-freeze has been flushed twice. it has a new battery, tires, brakes, and water pump. he is only asking $4,300 OBO so we are going to look at that one first. i will update you guys later on whats up.

97cavalier
06-18-2006, 09:51 PM
ya, but we are going to look at the 95 first since it sounds like one hella of a deal. OH ya the green one has tinted windows to. My dad just wants a camaro with tinted windows that looks good and sounds nice. Which the black one does and all you have to do to the green one is add exhaust.

06-18-2006, 09:56 PM
I had a '94 3.4l "dark green silver metallic" Camaro...I hated that damn car! I let anyone drive it hoping they would total it. I think he'd like the 3.8 better.

666_speed
06-18-2006, 10:48 PM
Really? I'd love to see a pic of that color. $3,500 isn't bad to pay for a reliable car. Is it a coupe? I really miss having a coupe!

97cavalier
06-18-2006, 10:53 PM
ya it is a coupe. here is the link to the car. http://privatelabel.carsoup.com/used/detail.asp?usedVehicleID=3067763&minYear=1987&maxYear=2002&searchID=44219970&vehicleTypeID=1&UVViewID=4&Page=1&DealerGroupID= the only thing i notice that might need fixed on the car is the mior looks like it might need buffed or repainted or it might just be dirty.

ok well my dad looked at the 94 today and he likes it but the guy said $4,300 my dad was like hell no more like$3,500 and the dude said $3,800 that is as low as he will go. So my dad is deciding what to do. What do you guys think? only thing wrong with the car is the black mirros need painted that is it. It has 98,000 miles and a new water pump tires batter, and all that good stuff
also has a cd player. so is it worth it?

guess i just found it weird since you made your own ttops, but no power windows. or do you not care? guess it doesnt matter much..power windows arent a necessity.

I don't really care, all I wanted was power locks. My RS's power windows kept messing up and was more trouble than they were worth.

Power windows are important if you don't have AC. Imagine cruising down the street with your windows down, when all the sudden a typical florida rain storm comes out of no where, now your driving with your windows down and rain is coming in, you can wind up your window easy, but the other window you have to lean across the car to wind it up. Now lets imagine you are running late for work and your on a busy road, you dont have time to pull over because you will never be able to get back on the road... so you unbuckle your safety belt and lean across to roll up your other window... crap a car slams on its brakes out of no where and you can't avoid it because your in the passenger seat and arn't paying 100% of your attention to the other drivers. Sooo... you slam into the guy and total both the cars, plus someone else runs into the back of you because they were doing the same thing! Guess what you've just been ejected out your windsheild and are now laying in the road bloody and being rained on... well maybe the guy behind him has power windows and swerves to avoid the crash but runs you over. SMUSH!

To cut a long story short, your a goner unless you have power windows.

Ok now what if you have AC, so your windows are up, and your in the left lane at a red light, and some fine peice of tail pulls up in the right lane smiles and winks at you. Naturally you want to get her number so you can persue some hot nookie... well your going to look like a dork leaning across the car to open your window. Hot tail does not like dorks and she is going to give the guy in the UPS truck her number because he has a big package!

It's been wrecked which is good cos it makes it cheaper and we can paint it at our garage cheaper than buying one that hasn't been wrecked. Since I don't know how to ride anyways I thought it was good to start with something cheap and already a little rough. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1996-Honda-CBR-600-F3-Delivered_W0QQitemZ4653583608QQihZ002QQcategoryZ49 999QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem there's the link to the bike.
