I have a 2002 explorer that just turn 30000 miles, at which time the service engine soon light came on. Is that light suppose to come on automatically at 30K or is this just a coincidence?
Also, how can I identify which model transmission I have in my vehicle? Thanks

Go here and click on the 2002 link- http://www.explorerforum.com/ntrprize/
lists engine trans combo available. Also on your drivers side door jamb is a sticker with codes for your truck on it. Trans, engine, interior etc.
If it is your check engine light, it needs to be scanned for what code is stored, to find the problem.
