i have a 1990 civic dx and the motor is done for i am looking for just a bolt in kind of swap and i would like to know if the d16a6 motor form the same year will bolt in or what would have to be done to make it work. dont have a ton of money to blow but i can afoord to get that motor or the same 1.5 if i have to and help would be great

To put a d16a6 in you would have to convert to MPFI. Not too big of a deal, if you do it right.

just find a sohc that runs good...from any 88-00 civic or delsol. If you don't feel like rewiring your car, just slap on the stock intake manifold.
If you want to get a little more power but have something that drops in for cheap, get a d16z6...you can get them from 92-95 civic si/ex's. Then rewire your car for mpfi and use the manifold from the new motor.

so how would i go about re wiring to use the mpfi.is it just rewiring or do i have to buy/upgrade any other parts
