Well since i will be changing the oil like 10 times in 500 miles. It will not hurt anything to buy the cheapest oil i can get? Like that tech shit from Walmart?lol I cannot see running like $2.50 a quart when it will just be drained right back out. Now the filter i will be running oem ;)
Thanx guys

That is exactly what Craig at SBR told me to do when I was breaking in the 6-bolt. Since the oil is going to be changed with such frequency, just get generic grade 20W-50 (non-syn), but as you stated, made sure all your filters are OEM.

see why would you do that though, I mean, why not spend that little extra money, to make sure everything is ok... I don't know... it seems pretty late to start going cheap on your car.

I used the CHEAPEST organic 10w-30 autozone oil. Up until i had 3k on my new stroker motor. Used the cheapest Oil filters also. I added the summit magnet around my oil filter though. It catches more metal shavings out of your motor. You might want to look into that. My turbo is still running fine after my motor break in, so I am guessing the magnet worked pretty damn well. Here is the link ... http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=400551+314159&autoview=sku ... it is called FilterMAG.

Because you don't need to. If it's being drained so frequently and new stuff put in, there is no need to run top of the line oil, it would be a complete waste of money.

The oil does not have time to break down if changed so often...even the shittiest oil still protects for that 50 or 100 miles or whatever your change interval is, it is strictly there to collect all the shit.
