My brother has an 04 Corolla Ascent auto sedan (19000kms) that has an intermittent non starting problem.
Car starts and runs when cold but sometimes if you switch it off when its warmed up, it wont start again till its cooled down.
He has now had it back to the dealer "6" times and still has problems with it doing the same thing..
Has anyone else had this problem?
Any feedback appreciated.

Dealer says he's checked everything...
Service Manager even took it home one weekend, did shopping, took kids to soccer and went for a drive. Bloody thing worked perfectly:rolleyes: My brother picked it up and 2 days later pulled over to take a phone call and guess what? The next call he made was for a tow truck:banghead:

well im stumped...but you know what they always say...in the presence of a mechanic, you could never recreate the problem you have with your car...ever...but this kind of thing happened to me before and it turned out that the wires to the ignition coil were loose...so if you want you could just check them out or if anything next time it happens, open the hood and check to see if the coil is hot...

Thanks joykill, my brother picked it up today and apparently they have now installed a new computer in the car (they said it was a $2000 job) so we'll see how it goes this time around.
Thanks very much for your input:)
