cam gear

does any1 have a jg cam gear and felt a difference in power after installing it, i just got one but havent installed it yet..

I really don't think you're going to feel anything from just installing a cam-gear... They just make tuning the engine easier.

dont waste the money if your buying cause you think its cool looking. you wont feel a difference. used for fine tuning a "HIGH PERFORMANCE" engine. Not something with an intake & exahust. But what ever do you what you gotta do

i dont think you'll feel much of a difference i am installing one but i think it might help me more since mine will have a crane cam connected to it :D

so when ads say you will increase 3-5hp they are not true? i ran a 15.3 with intake/header/exhuast.. so no help at all?

I wouldn't trust that number. Alot of companies inflate the horsepower gains of their products... I always take it with a grain of salt...

i agree with civic you will only gain 3-5hp if you dyno tune it and whats the point to get it dynoed with such little on it? and you might not get even that 3-5hp with the dyno tuning

yeah i need one of those for my crane, and some dyno time of course... so did you go stage 2? and are you as pleased with it as i am? i love my cam it was the greatest mod i've done

how much more power you think a cam would give? i heard the jg cam was good also..

i have a jg edel brock cam gear and a jg cam, i could feel a difference it, ramps up quicker to vtec and i needed to adj. timing for my nitrious.... overall i love it

hey gunnman have you timed your can yet? if so what did you run? do you think the cam and cam gear gave you 15-20 horsepower? or like 2 or 3 car lenghts faster?

Ok a cam gears are worthless on your stock cams. They suggested that you get cams along with it. From what i read is that if you just get cam gears it'll give no horsepower or you lose a couple on your stock cams.

naw i stayed stage 1 b/c i didn't think i could get titanium retainers for the higher reving stage 2
