i have a 1994 cavalier with the 4 cylinder engine and recently it decided not to start. it was running just fine last time i drove it but the next day nothing. it tries to crank but just won't turn over and so i checked fuel pump, replaced fuel filter, checked battery, plugs, wires, starter and all is ok. i'm getting gas through the lines and to engine, but nothing. i don't know if this has anything to do with it but it has had bad lifters for a while and could that be causing a problem?? Also it was running hot but not all the way in the red for a while and i just recently replaced radiator with brand new one right before it quit running and it seemed like it was running too cool because temp guage would hardly move unless i set awhile at an idle. also it kinda backfired when i was trying to get it started but only once (timing chain perhaps) ?? if anyone has any advice i'd appreciate your input on the matter.

One bad injector stopped it from starting?

yes one bad injector can cause it. what happens is they all fire when they are supposed too but the one that is bad sends a signal to the ECM and shuts it down so that it wont fire the injectors after that, its BS but its a safety mechanism so that you wont burn the engine up
