Yeah the car is kinda tall. But anywise it looks great. I really like much better the 5door hatchback. I allready took a look at those at my local dealer. Should I trade my 5door Focus for one? Maybe so;)

Dunno about the 307...

I think they went a bit too far, just like with 406. When the 406 was first introduced (was it '97?), I considered it to be the best styled car of the year, and a couple of years after that. But then they made a stupid face-lift, and the clean, simple lines and a very good form got changed, and it was a bit too much (for my liking, of course). Same with the 307. I will be comparing it to the 206 (no one can argue that the 307 was pretty much derived from the 206 styling-wise). I really like the 206, but what Pug did is take that vary good form and go too far with it on the 307.

As for trading in the Focus, I wouldn't. It seems all new cars look like Focus's nowadays, so drive the original. :)

trading your focus for a 307? if you like comfort do it, but if you like a dynamic car, keep the focus!

Well the 3O7 has been on sale here for 3 months and from what I can see it looks set to move ahead of BMW and VW and claim Peugeot the best selling Euro brand honour- Although it will never topple Toyota's Corolla from the top of the Small-Medium segment

The 307 is indeed far much nicer than the Focus and better built.... and it's a Peugeot, not a Ford, that's all ! It's like comparing VW and Ferrari !

This is old-hat now. :disappoin

There will be a facelifted version of the 307 ,with the new Peugeot family look sported by the bigger 407. The new 307 will use a range of new engines starting of with a new 1.416v,two new 1.6HDI diesels, new 2.0HDI diesel, 2.016v and a 2.2 from the 407. The interior will also be upgraded to give a classy and expensive feel and prices will remain much the same. Although I'm not sure about the stying myself its edging on the ugly!!!!!!!!!!!(as with the 407)

The all-new 308(307 replacement) will be released in 2006 based on a shortened 407 platform and will feature a sporty new look.

I think they will make it much different then this picture, just like what happend with the 407.. Its much different then the pictures of it before it was exposed to the public.

I don't mind too much, as long as the 3008 will look good it's ok. By 2006 I'll need to replace my 307

Indeed 3008, it's not a typo. If you follow Peugeot a bit closely, you probably know by now that they will add an extra 0 in between, as per the next model: the 1007. Apparently to give the more options in the future, since they were risking to run out of numbers. ;)

As for the engines. The nex range of engines is already available for the 307 even without the face-lift (a bad photo editing by Auto Bild? apparently - they just pasted a 407 nose on it :disappoin ).
Examples
For the 307 sedan: 1.4HDI is available.
For the 307 SW: 1.6HDI (110 bhp) and the 2.0HD (130bhp) are also available. I doubt they'll install a 2.2 diesel in it since with the introduction of the 130bhp 2litre version, the 2.2 got obsoleted. The 2.9 Hdi V6 - which also can be found in Ford products like Jaguar etc. - will be top range Diesel for Peugeot and also in 407, not in 307.

So the source where you got all that info from is highly questionable. :lol2:

Peugeot are only bringing this new naming system to its niche models. Like 1007 is'nt the replacement for the 106, a direct replacement simply called the 107 will be launched next year.

The picture is real, I have also seen spy-shots of it testing.
