A/C Question... need to replace condenser?

I replaced the compressor and accumulator on my rora, and this is what the orfice tube looked like. I dont see any big metal shavings, but it is full of crap (dirt, I think). Anyone know if this typical, or do I need to get a new condenser?

You got some of the old compressor trash in the oriface tube, think you can get away with simply back flushing your condenser with a AC/flush. Disconnect fittings close to the condenser and flush in reverse of the flow. Use compressed flushing fluid and compressed air. Plug up the exhaust fitting with your finger and after pressure build up release pressure a few times. Junk should clear. Hook it up and charge!!

One more question... I didnt flush out any of the A/C hoses either. I'm guessing I need to flush the one that has the orfice tube in it for sure, but is it necessary to flush the other ones as well?

You can flush everything on the AC for this car, BUT the condesor. They say it needs to be replaced. Otherwise flushing is useless. Check out ackits.com AC forum. Do a search for Aurora. You will find more info. I'm replacing my compressor this week.

Thanks, I ordered up a condenser a few days ago. I got a used one for $40 shipped off ebay, so I figured I'd rather play it safe than have my compressor blow itself up. So when it comes in I'm gonna flush out the two condenser lines and I'll be ready to go.

In case you havent heard elsewhere, the job's not too hard, I ended up doing it twice in about 7 hours. To avoid my mistake, make sure you switch over the electrical connector on the back from your old one to the new one (You'll need some snap ring pliers), I didn't notice before installing so I got to do the job twice ;) The worst part is trying to get the top-front compressor bolt out, my socket didnt reach so I went and bought a swivel as some people have recommended. I couldnt get it out with the swivel either, but I went back to advance auto parts and they had a socket that was about 1/8" longer than the one I was using, no probs after that. If you run into any trouble feel free to ask.
