Clean with soap and water then use some Bare-Metal Plastic Polish.

I also found that standard "T-cut" for car paint restoring used before the polishing stages helps a great deal.

Clean them with a soft cotton cloth and use cotton gloves to work with them.
Polishing or using future are great options, but using cotton gloves later to work with these parts makes the difference for me :)

I've heard of folks dipping them in future floor polish...
I use pledge wood polish myself, and it makes them look a tad better. i've also used Tamiya Wax, but depends on what you need to do.

I had to remove som fingerprints from the windshield, and I used a cloth to remove it. The plastic became dull and full of small scratches.

Another tip, incase you didnt already know...Buy a micron cloth, they only cost about £1. theyre superb for final handling and removing fingerprints prior to a photosession.
