It is great for removing crap off the paint, and making it smooth as new. Not really for preservation, as it doesn't have any lasting preservation qualities, and the clay doesn't stay on the paint, you just rub it around to remove other junk from teh paint.

I just tried the clay bar today and I liked it. It definately removed all the bug guts that wouldn't get off by any other means.
