Changing Bulbs

It was pointed out to me today that my left tail light is out. I suspect I may have to change the bulb and was wondering how to do it. Do I need to pop the trunk and then unscrew something or is there a way to pop the cover off the tail light and change it? How long do the tail lights actually last? I figure I'll get it changed soon but was hoping it'd be easy.

The tail light bulbs are easily removed. On Berettas you need to pop the trunk open and remove the tailight assy. by removing three wingnuts (sometimes 4) and then pulling the lense assy out just enough to see the sockets/wiring. Then you twist the socket(s) and pull them off. The bulbs are removed by pushing in on them and twisting. They should pop out. Bulbs should have two little metal tips on them, on side is slightly higher than other. the socket has slots with slightly longer one and a shorter one. You must put the bulb in so that the pins match up with the slots. Push in and twist to lock. re-assemble. Be sure you get the same bulb, specify which bulb is bad when buying, example turn signal bulb, brake light bulb etc.

Thanks for the info. It doesn't sound too difficult.

BTW, do you happen to know what model of bulb it is for the Beretta's tail light? I went to Walmart yesterday and they had different ones for sale.

I have a 1995 Beretta.

Looks like a 2057LL will work for both sockets in rear. Suggest you replace them all so they are all fresh and new, or at least pick up a couple of spares.
