1981 corolla, 4age swap?. please help

i own a 1981 corolla sr5 and i want to convert my motor to a 85 86 87 corlla gt-s and i want to know how hard it is if i buy the motor ecu and tranny. and what else would need. please help

if you want to do it you pretty much need the whole car. you need the gas tnak with fuel lines, ecu, steering(youre gonna have to cut a hole in the firewall) unless you wanna weld up the crossmember, the good thing is that everything bolts up (tank,motor,tranny[which is the same], suspension upgrades and crossmember. if you really wanta fast drift car or something build up the 3T you already have. or if you want dual cams finmd yourself a 2TG head(thast what im doing) even though they are really rare. your car is an SR5 is ita hardtop(no b-pillar trunk) sports ocupe(b-pillar hatch) or liftback(no b-pillar hatch)

yea but the motor is one cam. will it fit right? n i have a sprts coup. but its a lift back.got pics. myspace.com/tavrick

the stock engine is a pushrod 1.8 in jpapn the 2TG is the same block with a DOHC head on it (which is a direct bolt on to the pushrod block)with some mods[cam bearings turned, new 22R chain, 2TG timing cover]) the 4AGE is a rpelacemnt for the 2TG and 3TGTE
