140hp vs 135 in the 2.0L SR20DE
115hp vs 110 in the 1.6L ga16de
about the same gas mileage
most improvements were cosmetic in nature.
the b14 was slightly more upscale for the interior, slightly larger dimensions.
semi-independent trailing arm rear suspension, macpherson struts in front
im pretty sure it had the same brakes, options, although the sentra SE and 200sx SE-R could be had with 15" wheels, which gives for better tire selection and more rubber to the ground.
you had about the same amount of upgrades, but there were wierd differences, like a standard b14 sentra strut bar wouldnt fit my b14 SE-L because the SE-L had some wierd vacuum hoses on top of the intake plenum. even though it was still a 95 spec SR20. so you kind of have to be creative with upgrades but i like the b14 better, just because its a more solid feeling car. just dont get the 1.6 liter model and youll be happy with the upgrade. the 1.6 liter models didnt improve a whole lot, but the reliability was still there.

Please help, in my country only sell Sentra's 13 and 14, 1.6 or equal 1600cm3 both.
My question is simple, it is to 4 doors sedan, according to last reply, being both models 93 at 1.6 and the other one that I want to buy 1.6 '97:
What have more Horse Power?
What is more fuel economic?
In a high speed up 100kms or 60mlls, what is more estable?
My firts one is automatic and I want to buy the second one too...concerns?

Thanks a lot...

i know less about the 1600cc models than the 2000cc models. i know theres some people here who either have had both or know more.
i do know that most of the difference was appearance.
the hp and gas mileage was similar between the two, as far as i know.
the automatic transmissions are less than great but not horrible. they also get less gas mileage and the car feels less powerful than the standard transmission. my b14 felt great at speeds approaching 200km/h, but it had the 15 inch wheels and 4 wheel disc brakes. ive never driven a b13 on the freeway though so i couldnt comment on that one

The B14 is superior in every area in question here. More power, better fuel economy, and better looking.

Also, the SR20 had 140hp in the B13. It had 135 in the B14 but was still rated as 140hp, then jumped to 145hp in the B15.

This is just my opinion but while the B14 has 5HP more, to me it feels slower than my old B13, I think due to weight difference between the 4 door and the 2 door. And I definately got better fuel economy from my B13, but that could have been due to less miles on the engine, otherwise both were in great running condition. I also prefered the look to the boxier B13 more. But again this is all my opinion...

the fuel economy and acceleration were because the b14 was def. heavier
but i thought the high port SRs only had 135 because the low ports got 5hp more from a retuned ECU when they came out...i could be wrong though.
