curious....

okay so i recently purchased a 1988 mustang gt with the 5.0L v8 and i looove this car but ive always beena tuner guy so i have dcided to turbo it instead o supercharge it...my question is..this car weighs in at about 3400pounds curb weight...the turbo kit i am intending to put on it is a direct bolt on kit said to put this mustang at about 397HP and 490lbs of torque...just wondering what anyone thinks this particular car with this kind of horsepower could run at the track..i know it all comes down to drivers and weather conditions now but just a rough idea would be awesome...thansk guys

High 11's - low 12's depending on how good you drive it and the elevation you race at.

and at first this will most likely be run on street summer performance tires til i can afford slicks for it....i was hoping to be low 12'a but hearing one of you say mid 11's really has me excited to start work on this car.also,this turbo kit is designed for 10psi of boost on stock engine..only upgrading injectors...once the kid is on and broken in and im hopefully running mid 11's or low 12's what could the next possible upgrades be?to get it a bit faster

Actually it really depends on the turbo size:-p

the turbo for this particular kit can either be a t-44 or a t-61.and the car currently does have a full 3inch exhaust,bigger rocker arms,and about 2,000 dollars in rear end suspension work done to keep the wheels to the ground...so that on top this turbo kit..what ya guys think for 1/4 mile time son street tires?and what about a good set of slicks? the link to the turbo kit is here http://www.turbo-kits.com/mustang_turbo_kits.html and its like the 3rd kit down..the street sleeper turbo kit....lemme know what u guys think..thanks
