Ok, I saw this in another thread and wondered how it would do here.

First, someone posts a picutre, in this case this it's me. Then the next person has to rate it 1-10, 10 being oh so good and 1 being absolutely apalling and then justify their reason. If you see that someone is wrong with their information or their ideas on why it's good/bad, you may criticize them but you can't jack the thread.

This is for road-going production cars only, from any time, and they have to be cars people know.

For example, someone puts:

BMW M6 E63 (with a picture, not necessary though, it would be nice to have a visual aid)

9

because it's an amazing car from a driving and engineering standpoint and it's mindblowingly beautiful but every button gives you a headache and it still has the nannying iDrive.

Get it? Lets give it a try.

You need to post one after you rate.

PS. also try to give a more thorough but brief justification like I did with the M6.

A 3. It only gets those three points because 1 is a gimmie 2 for "originality" and 3 for entertainment value. I especially like that hood plate or whatever the hell that is in the middle of the hood. Is it protecting the carb? Is it part of the carb??? The 3 hood ornaments/ hood pins are a nice touch too.:grinno:
He shoulda splurged and dropped 10 more bucks to get the spinner hubcaps :nono:
Are those windshield washer nozzles up toward the front of the hood!?!?!?

MY GOD! I CAN'T STOP STARING AT THIS CRAZY LOOKIN CAR!!!

I actually give this car a nice 10.

It's a very good car, in Japan it was the Skyline for a little bit, and the sound it makes is absolutely amazing (As I know it from my mom's FX35, same three and a half liter V6). It's a fantastic value as well and has great build quality. I haven't driven one but from what I've read and heard, it handles and performs really well and is just as good and slightly cheaper than the BMW 3-series.

Mercedes CLS55 AMG (the only true and modern Mercedes-Benz I love and would actually buy)

Beautiful car, much better made than before, handles nicely, CLS320 CDI actually makes an extremely viable ownership proposition, Supercharged V8 the best sounding V8 on this side of a Ferrari. Loses points for no headroom in the back

I'd say 7. I wouldn't buy one but I'm 6'5", probably isn't aimed at my demographic.
i haven't read any road reports on the Yaris, but I'm sure you can expect typical Toyota quality. Not overly-cute in design but cute enough for those who don't have Beetle money. It really only loses points because it either is a copycat or has been copycatted. (Which came first, the yaris or the Honda Fit???) I don't think the Fit has a drop top option. But that pic seems to be an auto show prototype

2. Not because it's a Hyundai (I rather like Hyundais), but because it's a (ugly) new product in a market that is old and should have been abandoned years ago.

As far as Honda Fit/Toyota Yaris, the Toyota predates the Honda by 2 years. Not a huge fan of the new Yaris, but the kick-ass older model was sold here in Canada for the past few years :D

The original E500 was a great car and a great performer and probably a predecessor to the original 190 2.6 16 Evo. It also dated back to when Mercedes actually built decent cars before their downfall. However, the price iwas the biggest downfall and that's why I can't find any. I think it's actually the best large car design in recent memory, definitely the most daring since the CX (Or maybe the C4, depending on how you look at it), it's not as pretty as an A6, but at least you can tell they gave it some thought.

Citroen exist mostly as a small car maker nowdays, but they've always existed as a revolutionary company (The DS for instance) rather than an evolutionary one.

Z4 Coupe: 6.5, just because it stayed far too much on the safe side, unlike its' predecessor.....

8. Nice sporting enge to an otherwise family car. I'm a fan of the new turbo option. The thing I like best is that its not another vanilla-styled japanese midsize car (like the camry and accord:shakehead ) Originality always earns points in my book. I still got mixed feelings about those taillights though.

Hows about the new max:

I was kinda disappointed when I saw the thread title, I thought you were gonna use the car you actually drive, think it would be a lot funner that way instead of just random cars we come up with. We would run out of cars in like 3 posts, if you want to post your car you should.

^^^ Max, i dont know, its a OK car, nothing special you know. Just interior, which all the companies are all jizzin there pants over. Ill give a 6.

never heard of transformers?

only jokin'. Saab Viggen is the division of saab that make their fighter jets, this division's research is also used in aiding the aerodynamics of the cars, and also performance wise. i think they use the viggen name for bragging rights, so you can tell your mates you car shares research with a 21st century fighter juet.

7, I LOVE muscle cars, but the lime green color isn't my favorite, and I'd prefer GM over Mopar.

How's this for GM Muscle,

One of the uber-rare 1997 Firehawks with the LT4 V8.

9. I'm a fan of F Bodies, but i prefer T Tops and those rims are kinda blah. But whats under the hood makes up for that in spades.

I like it because its a sleeper and a good cruiser with decent power but just like any other American car, it can't go 'round a corner. I don't like how it has "gangster" looks.

^This car looks good!

Although I know nothing specwise about it, I can tell it has some decent power. The style is nice, so I'll give it a 8 outta 10.

if thats a renault cc, i give it a 5; only because its a vert. I dont like the styling at all. how about the sky... I know it loses points cuz its a Saturn...http://www.damianpenny.com/archived/Saturn%20Sky.jpg

BTW, where is that background? I swear every stock photo of every car has that background.

Erm, it's a Koenigsegg CC, not a Renault CC. It's the world's fastest production car and does something like 240mph or thereabouts. Not a big fan of the hypercars but it's probably my favorite of the lot.

As for the Sky, it was already done, but I'll give it a 7. Seems like a great car now that is a huge step forward, but I'll bet almost anything GM will start churning them out like wildfire and will let it rot as yet another model in their cache for the next several years. Until they prove me wrong, it stays a mere 7.

Porsche 914. I've been rebuilding one at work so at the moment I happen to think they are a royal pain.
