Finally Did Brakes!!

I had the cross-drilled and slotted rotors sitting around for awhile. Last time I tried to do them, I couldn't get the stupid bolts off. I got me a nice clicker torque wrench (up to 140lbs), and those bitches came right off! I'm still breaking them in. Also repainted the calipers while I was at it.
Only problem, the back ones are scraping. Like when driving I can hear metal on metal contact. I can see that the pads are touching the rotors on the outside of the rotor. I don't get that one. It's doing it on both sides. I figure the pad will eventually wear down. Probably not the best idea though. Any help?
Check out the pics. Sorry the wheels are so dirty.

You used a torque wrench to take off the bolts?

Some Ebay Brand. Got them for $150 with zinc plating. Not bad. Really good quality. Sturdy and strongly built.
is your talon have leather seat and sunroof ?
Leather? No. Sunroof? It's the kind that pops up, but doesn't go all the way back. It gets some good airflow coming into the car though, so I can't complain.
You used a torque wrench to take off the bolts?
Sure did. It did a great job. Why do you ask? I don't have a breaker bar.

Well I took it out tonight to my girls house and we went to a couple different places. I didn't slam them. The pedal was kinda low when I first put them on, but as the night went on, the brake pedal raised and is solid when you press on it. I rolled up very slow to all the lights and stop signs. SO many people got pissed at me when they were behind me because I started stopping about 2 blocks back. There is no more noise that my old rotors were making. They were clicking everytime I hit the brakes. It was loud too. Glad I don't have to hear that anymore.

I say that because torque wrenches arent really ment to take bolts off with

Haha, that's definitely an expensive ass breaker bar if you bought a torque wrench to take off those bolts. A rachet and cheater pipe would have probably done the job for alot cheaper. :)

Fuck yeah for a "torque stick"! My engine would have NEVER come apart if it werent for that 3 ft length of pipe.

If you have an engine stand you automatically get the sissy bar. I use this bar for all high torque removal applications. If you have a heavy duty jack you have one of these bars too. Just insert the end with the hole over the socket wrench end and you have yourself a sissy bar/breaker bar. It's saved me many a times and given me many bloody knuckles.
Using a tq wrench to break tq is a good way to f up a tq wrench. Those things are calibrated you know ;)

The longer the pipe, the easier it is to make more torque. Mike's hub nut (that one big nut in the middle of the wheel hub) was stuck like a mofo... until it met mikes stock catback . That bitch didnt stand a chance against that ~8 ft piece of shit.

Haha. I used some headers I had laying around for an old 5.0 stang on more than one occasion to break torque.
And who said exhaust components were only good for regulating emissions?

:lol: I could just see someone doing that too, using an 8 foot piece of pipe for a cheater pipe.
