where does this go?

I took my turbo off for my sr. project. I put it back on and now it wont go past 4000 rpm without it starting to backfire or misfire something to that nature. It runs rich, hopefully now plugs will help that. As I was putting that lower intercooler piping back on I noticed something hanging near the intercooler, i dont know what it is called or what it does. hopefully you can help me out here. It wouldnt let me put the pics on here so i just put it on myspace. thanks

Check your lower intercooling piping make sure it is on securely that kinda happened to me when My lower intercooling piping came off. I can't see your pic but my bet is its a vacuum line coming from the same place as the one that is attached to your wastegate. If it is that line just seal it. It won't be the cause of your problems though i really think it is a massive boost leak (no offence but you prolly don't deserve the best mark on your sr project)

I don't think it's a vacuum line, it looks like some sort of plug but fuck I can't see it, it's too shitty of a picture.

I found out what the problem was I forgot to tighten the intake clamp all the way. I runns like a champ now. Its always the little things. Sorry about the pics., those are the best pics my camera can take. Thanks for all your help even though somes things that you said made feel like idiot. Whatever no harm. let the good times roll.
