I have a 01' Toyota Corolla LE with 103,000 miles on it. I started having a problem about a month ago with it. When I first start it and start to go it bogs down and tries to die and I usually have to give it some gas and turn everything off and it won't die. The rest of the day it runs fine but intially it does this. I don't die at red lights or stop signs and I run all electrical just fine. The check engine light just came on yesterday. I am a woman and I am afraid of being taken advantage of. I was told it could be the spark plugs but I just don't know what to do. Autozone checked it on computer but showed nothing. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

could be a dirty mass airflow sensor...take it out clean it up(or replace) and that might work

did the check engine light go back off
all by itself? Try adding some fuel injector cleaner into the gas tank on your next fill-up. is the Temperature guage fluctuating before the engine surges? Has the air filter element ever been replaced? Check it...the dirty side will be on the bottom.
