From the 1/24 Tamiya kit, Fujimi tools and scratchbuilt items. Thanks for looking.

Really nice.. I love the attention to details. Like the clean spare hood that's ready to replace the old one.. Did you have a referencephotograph, or is it all you're own inspiration? Because it looks "real".

wow wow and wow again, this is just amazing. I had to ask myself if this was real photo that you had as a refrense or if it was a 1:24.

This is the best build I have ever seen and ever will see. I love those dusty and rusty used cars.

I acctually have in my plans to build a Golf MK I or II as a rusty and dirty first time car for a youngster.

It would be cool if you could give me som tips and hints :)

Once again amazing work.

WOW!!

Amazing diorama!! Even after my eye picked out where photoshop copies the sand at the edges, it's still amazing. Brilliant uses of the Fujimi tools. The shredded/burnt wheel and wheel well is a great touch.

The only thing that sticks out to me is the Mitsubishi emblem on the grille. Unless it's supposed to have been obliterated by 1000 miles of sand, the soft edges make it look... weird.

Overall: A++!!! :bigthumb:

I don't know what to say but...
IS THAT REAL?
Seriously, you tricked me at first.

Sometimes people say "museum quality" and they're rotten, stinking liars.

Sometimes people don't say anything at all and they've the most incredible creations that surpass what anyone would expect from miniature.

You, sir, one of the most gifted builders I've ever seen work from. Amazing.

Absolutely fantastic, I'm sure everyone will agree that we have just run out of superlatives now!
The only worry is how many cars do you have left to post?

Very, very impressed!

I can see pro skill in most of your job.
I can see a kind of love for modelling in some jobs like that: thans for sharing.

And... beat your PS operator or at least learn better to use stamp function J/K.
Don'r worry mine is only professional warping and a lot of envy :grinyes::):icon16: J/K

I’m really proud/embarassed about all these superlative comments. I can only simply say THANK YOU and again THANK YOU ! Alessandro :)

wouter1981 > Did you have a referencephotograph, or is it all you're own inspiration? I had a look in a book dedicated to the Dakar. I did not find the exact scene, but I was able to understand how to weather the model, the rest is my own fantasy.

svendsen > It would be cool if you could give me some tips and hints. I would recommend you to get good reference photos firstly, and then you should concentrate on a detail at the time, experimenting dry brushing and military weathering tecniques, as I did in year 1999.

ThatRoundHeadedKid > Whered you get all thsoe tools and accessories or did you scratchbuild them yourself? As already said it’s a Fujimi set, but I also added some parts from my scrap box

AMAZING
May I ask how much time and money you invest in a build like this? On average.

I can't believe how amazing your skills/talents/art is Alessandro and I can't believe I missed this thread until now.

The thing I like the most? The footprints in the sand!!!
I think only you could come up with that (or am I mistaken about the footprints?)
