We need a little/few more details.
Year make and model and engine and mileage always helps.
What is the compresser or belt doing or not doing. Is the compresser or pulley or front compresser bearing bad or clutch or compresser locking up.
Is the belt jumping of now?

Yes you can.
There is the routing diagram on the front sticker on the fan shroud and when you go get the new belt, make sure you specify no AC and they will give you a shorter belt that will fit it perfectly.
