Radiator Cap

Friend suggested that I replace my radiator cap with a 10 lb. pressure one. Said it will be easier on coolant components since I have 138,000 on my 95, 1500, 5.7. He has over 200,000 on his 94. Is this a good idea??? Presently everything in coolant system seems to be working fine. Thanks
