True, BUT, there are some COUNTERFIET "name brand" parts out there. I've read about a few parts, like cheap BOVs (that fail instantly!), RB26DETT oil pans (which still had silica sand from the casting process, in the pan, By-by bearings!) all the way to suspension parts that look like tack welded sheet metal.
RULE OF THUMB: Buy performance parts NEW, direct from the manufacturer or at least from a highly respectable re-seller. Body parts don't affect the performance of your engine, (duh) so you can buy them from anywhere you want. Sometimes you luck out and find a nice kit or hood that somebody needs to get rid of quick and you'll get a great deal and a good quality part. Sometimes... you get what you pay for...

in that perspective, suspension parts are just as, if not more important then performance parts, so those too should be carefully shopped for, and defintetely not bought on ebay, (i would feel very uncomfortable putting my vehicle in the hands of an $8 set of coilovers)

Now i Have Eibach Prokit and KYB AGX... but the Tein Super street coilovers direct replacements are looking awful pretty to me right now... :grinyes:
I've got eyes too big for my pocket books tho.
