Congrats, guys. Hrmodeler is doing an awesome job with this so far. It was great to be able to participate in it.

I'm not sure if Peter Leopold is a member of this place or not, but I remember seeing his work before, and it was unbelieveable. Again, congrats to the winners, and great job with the whole deal. Lookin' forward to the next one.

Turmio,
Thank you. I posted pictures of that car and many others after that when I first became a member back in April of this year. I think the Porsche has a lot of "Flash" appeal ( just like when you see a sexy, hot girl), but in all honesty I think the entry of Lau Bak's Subaru is the best of the entries so far. It's very well detailed and extremely well finished. I already know who I'm gonna vote for.

:eek2: Wow, where'd you get those low profile tires walter? Pegasus?

Hey Walter, you're welcome to send me some pics of your awesome stuff for the Gallery anytime... :)

I remember seeing Walter's 996 Cabrio at Tamiya/Con and not even realising what the conversion was, since the roof cover is so seamlessly integrated...

edit:
BTW... I just saw a real 996 Cabrio Carrera 4 a few hours ago, and it only makes Walter's look better! ;)

i think that one entry with the driver in it is bogus, look at the 2 pics with the driver in it, the 1st one his shoulders and head are cocked towards the camera, in the second one hes facing straight with his back straight.......also the scale isnt correct on 2 pics, hey, i'd be getting some more PROOF and SOLID evidence that this model is legit!

Looks to me like either

a. the driver is photoshopped in the first two pics
b. the driver figure is missing a head in the third pic

Both make feasable theories.... I wonder what it really is... :p

The outer aluminum ring and the tires are from Pegasus hobbies. They're about 15 U.S. dollars with a inner rim of your choice. This was the price about a year ago, don't know about now. Jay knows for sure-he lives near Pegasus hobbies.

I was looking forward to meeting you at the last So. Cal model show. Unfortunately I had nothing done to compete. I really wanted to finish the Turbo charged Integra you guys saw a while back, but I haven't had the time to touch anything in several months since Tam/Con in April. I'll try my best to send youi something really soon. I've got about 6 or 7 cars I'd like to send you all at one time. As soon as I finish the Integra, Skyline GTS 25t (R33), and a little Honda Civic, I'll bomb your email with links to all the stuff- if I can manage to organize everything properly.:D

I think that model is real and driver and effect made with photo programs. He just played little with photos, but that don't count in judging. We judging model, not efects.

yes but if the driver is photoshopped in there, its going to makepeople think that he made the driver, th erefor getting him extra brownie points when judging comes.

IMHO. if he did not make that driver, he should not have put it in there, and to me, it looks like he did not make it. you should also email him and make him take a picture of his car to scale.

make him put the car beside his foot, or a big rock, or on top a real sizecar to prove that he infact, did build it.

He proved me that it's real model with few photos.
Driver and effects are made with photoshop, road and background (garage) is modeled, too.
