squeeky alternator oulley

I have been battling a squeaky belt/pulley for 2 weeks now. I replaced the belt and swapped out the idler pulley. I narrowed down the remaining squeek to the pulley on the alternator.

Is there a spray on lubricant I can use to try and elimnate the squeek?

the second part of my question, can the pulley be replaced without replacing the entire alternator??

There is a bearing inside the alternator directly behind the pulley. In order to gain access to it for lubrication or replacement, the alternator must be removed and disassembled. The pulley however, can be replaced without removing the alternator.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Remove the air filter housing by loosening the 5/16 hose clamp, unplug the IAT and MAF sensor connectors. Remove the upper fan shroud by taking out the 7 10mm bolts. Remove the serpentine belt by relieving the tension on the belt tensioner (below the alternator) with a 3/8” ratchet and short extension. Remove the two alternator mounting bolts. Unplug the connector on the rear top of the alternator. Unbolt and disconnect the battery feed from the rear of the alternator. Remove the alternator. In all, it should take about 25 minutes to accomplish. The only easier way that I know of to remove the alternator, is to have someone else do it! Hope this helps.
