I recently moved into my first apartment by myself, and I decided I needed some company in here, so I went to the pet store and took home my new gerbils :)

Mike

Gerbils are cool, we use to have two of them. Putting cardboard tubes in the cage is fun to watch, they just tear them things up in nothing flat.

Not a big fan of gerbils.. more a rat/mouse person myself.. but gerbils are like a rat on crack, so I guess thats a plus if you're bored.. but I prefer something I can have on my lap and just play with it. (Please leave the stupid comments out)

Anyway congrats on the new friends.. and also I thought Ness was from Earthbound, lol.

getting small pets is just asking for trouble.
we were forced to carry out a funeral for a hamster in my final year at university, only to wake up to find that the grave we had dug wasn't deep enough and the foxes had an extra meaty snack last night.

but the meat you do get off of them is the best you'll ever have, even better than horse meat. and you know us french people, we'll eat anything, where do you think frog legs come from, and they have even less meat on them.

Rats are bigger than gerbils though..

beef_bourito

but the quality of the meat isn't as good, gerbils are more tender and are juicier, they also have a richer taste.

When you were in vietnam, I doubt you were going to be like "No! Dont eat that rat! Its meat isnt as good and it isnt as tender or juicy as that of a gerbil! Go find one of those!" I can guarantee the hungry dude, if he was so hungry to start looking for rodents for his source of food, would really be picky..

i know, i was talking about eating them in general. hell if i was in vietnam i wouldn't care what i was eating as long as it's got meat.

My mom brought me a hamster home, I think one of her coworkers found it somewhere. Anyway, it was crazy. Can hamsters be suicidal? I think he was...

I'm sick of these crazy, secondhand pets. My parents can never just take me to the damn store and let me pick one out.

technically no. you should've eaten them before they reach that stage.

Because they are plentiful; some Eastern national governments actually promoted eating rodents to solve their city's high rodent problems.
They provided recipes, and how to cook them, how to catch them, and etc.

I did a project that outlined a lot of protest music. It was supposed to be on music that inspired social change, but when I was researching the genres, they kept coming up a lot. None of their music was as influential as the major people in my project, but their name was good enough to get a picture spot on my board.
