1993 lincoln town car cartier stock alarm system i disconnected the switch under hood it was bad you cannot order it from ford anymore so i will have to hunt it down you cannot disable the alarm by pulling a fuse because it is tied into many fuses that control other functions of the vehicle the alarm goes off whether you set it by letting the alarm light stay on for thirty seconds but it still goes off eventually even if it is not set and i lock all the doors manually i do not know if you can disconnect the alarm module because im not sure if it will disable other things on the car i do not even know where to begin on checking to find the problem because it is tied into so many things on the vehicle if their is anyone out there that knows a simple way to disconnect the alarm altogether without screwing up other things on the car please help the ignition is different i have the original keys for the doors and i need to find a new switch for under the hood this is really a headache to diagnose and repair or discoonect the alarm thanx scotty:grinyes:my car was towed today gonna cost 300 bucks to get it back is there a fuse for the horn i can pull or can i disconnect the alarm help please

Crap! Hmmm, I wonder if your 93 has a Drivers Seat Sensor that keeps the alarm from setting if there's someone sitting in the seat?

Hello

I know for a fact that the 93 TC has a sensor in the bottom of drivers seat. Steve might be on to something there. You could locate it and jumper the wires. It's located on the underside of the seat. If you think that might be the problem I have a good one I could sell you.

Hi there

You got your car towed because of the alarm going off ? That really sucks. You could disconnect the horn, untill the you can get the problem fixed. Did you try to jumper or disconnect that seat sensor like I sugested. Steve had mentioned above that the alarm might not be seting properly because of that seat sensor. The sensor is a long metal strip and has some blue plastic on it. You should be able to see it on the bottom of the seat, between the foam and the wire mesh. Good luck on geting that fixed. :2cents:

Thanks Mike
