well some of you know that i bent some valves, so it took my head to the shop and at first they told me they were gonna charge me arround 200 so i was like sweet, it's been 3 days and i didn't hear from them so i called them and they said" we've been trying to call you, you have some bent valves and you need to rebuilt the head, you are looking at arround 550!!!!" so i was thinking just go and buy me a 6 bolt, for like 1500? and they wanna charge me 60 bucks " for checking it out and tell me i had bent valves which i allready knew!!!!! so i think i'm just gonna let them keep my head and not pay them.
How hard is it to do the swap? what stuff would i need to modify?
any links to a write up?

Search and you shall find. Almost positive I read a couple detailed 6 bolt swaps on here.

I'm pretty sure my machinist does a full rebuild (new guides, valves as necessary, valve job, resurface, seals, clean, etc) for like 350. 550 sounds pretty unreasonable to me, and that says a lot because I don't mind spending money on certain things that are worthwhile (getting the head done right). I don't think letting them keep the head will work though, and they do have a right to charge you at the standard shop labor rate. Someone did have to work on the head, and they have to stay in business. Part of the risk we take by letting others work on the car/parts. 550 is absurd though.
