You could probably call the local traffic court, they'll have the information.
I didn't know that you could accelerate too quickly....using the maximum acceleration capability of the vehicle shouldn't be illegal, if you're following all the other motor vehicle laws.
Were there other circumstances involved?

well i called the traffic court and couldnt find out how many points it would be, just the points i already had.
basically i had just spun the tires for 1-2 seconds and kept it floored. as soon as 1st gear was over there was a cop driving by and he caught me in my act of stupidity

Well, with the spinning tires I'd say they've got you. You might be able to plead it down to a lesser charge. With a bit of research you'll be able to find out how many points go with the ticket - maybe DMV has the points for different violations. Good luck with it.

Man, I got pulled over for that a few months ago. Apparently launching at 5k at a redlight in my TT was grounds for 3 cop cars to pull me over
But after I assured the officer that I was just being stupid and NOT racing the 92 corolla next to me, he let me off with a warning. haha.
Wow missouri's dmv site is worthless. This is the best I could find:
http://www.pulledover.com/mps.asp#points
So I'm thinking, it's 2 points. I'd go to court and try for a plea bargain.
If not, you might want to check out traffic school to lose some points as well:

in the UK excessive acceleration usually amounts to dangerous driving depending in the situation and road conditions. I've been stopped once or twice (or maybe.....) because of this but because i wasn't actually speeding and the worse thing i did was go around corners a little faster than most other cars, they had no grounds to ticket me, only give a little "reminder" to be careful; it wasn't even a formal caution.

i think what i am going to do is get traffic law center to take care of it and i think it will cost me about 200 bucks
igovert you know if that corolla were racing you would have got smoked..........and why cant i get lucky and get a warning.damn.

I hope that was sarcastic
I had such a hard time keeping a straight face when the cop asked me that.
